I love banh mi.  My hubby loves SATAY banh mi.  I RARELY get the satay banh mi. Why? Not because he never learned how to share, but because 99% of the time, their satay is made with peanuts.  Just 1 of the 10000000 things I'm allergic to (I should live in a bubble).

This banh mi place is tucked into what I like to call, "Asian Alley" at WEM.  We've tried mini mango, been to Nhon Hoa and my hubby claims that TC and Nhon Hoa are very comparable, but TC flavour is better.

I tried asking him the flavour profiles, what's the difference, etc.  But it's hard when a) His mouth is stuffed with banh mi goodness and b) he is not a descriptive person.

Awesome and easy place to stop in while doing shopping, this is probably our 6th time going and will definitely not be our last.

Whenever I need a meal at West Edmonton Mall, TC Sandwiches is the go to spot. It's better and cheaper than anything at the food courts. I would say they make one of the best Vietnamese sandwiches I've had and that includes many I've tried in Vancouver where there are tons of Vietnamese places. They are larger than usual, basically a footlong and a million times better than a regular Subway sandwich. The bread is fresh and jam packed with fresh veggies. At $5.50, it might be a bit more than other Vietnamese sandwiches, but it's definitely worth it. My personal favourite is Chicken Satay.

There's also a TC Sandwiches location in Chinatown, but I haven't tried it so I can't comment.

Definitely a good location if you're on the west end. I tried their Special Combo Sandwich (#1) and was very happy with it.  The bread was great and the filling was not skimpy.  Will be back.

I ordered the beef stay and shredded pork sandwich.  The sandwiches taste good but there is way too little meat for the price you pay. There will be a couple bites of pure bread.
The lady behind the counter gives terrible services.  If you ask her a question she looks at you thinking you're stupid and gives you one word answers.  Definitely will not be ordering here when she is working.
Her son on the other hand is way gives better services and provides better portions.

    Edit*
I created an account just to post a review. Hopefully the lady will see this and change her service.

Go to spot in WEM.  The wife heads to Old Navy and I take our two year old here.  My daughter absolutely loves the subs and so do I.  You can smell and taste the freshness of their bread and ingredients so I have no hesitations I'm feeding her something nutritious.  Service is quick and friendly.  If you haven't tried this place you are severely missing out on great food.
